Writers grow best when they pay attention to both craft lessons and “workshopping”--sharing pages-in-progress and receiving constructive feedback. In this combination program, we will focus on key elements of literary craft, including character, voice, tension, plot and subplot, sensory details and more. Weekly sharing of work-in-progress provides students with supportive, constructive critique and invites them to revise. Whether you have an ongoing project, or simply want to perfect your writing craft, this class will give you the foundation and feedback to improve. Writers of short or long fiction, personal essay, and memoir are welcome to join. ~~~
