Legend has it that Shakespeare wrote King Lear while he was quarantined for the plague. In other words, being stuck at home is an opportunity to be creatively productive! If you have a short story, poem, or essay tucked away in the back of your drawer, now is a great time to dust it off and send it out. This class will cover the basics of submitting to literary magazines, including knowing when your work is ready, writing a cover letter, drafting a bio, finding target publications, creating a submissions strategy, and dealing with rejection--or, yay! Acceptance! You’ll leave the class with a plan for getting your work out into the world.
