On this excursion into the woods, we will open our senses and let nature be our inspiration and guide. We will take a leisurely three-hour walk through the South Mountain Reservation, pausing at opportune spots to breathe in, observe, absorb, and express on the page. Writing on old-fashioned paper with pen or pencil, we will take note of how our words and thoughts transform under the subtle and powerful influence of the natural world.
The walk will cover uneven ground and occasionally some gentle climbs over rocky or rutted paths. Wear sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers, and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Bring notebook and writing implement.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE IN PERSON WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS IN PLACE. Masks are REQUIRED for all participants.
The workshop will be conducted in SILENCE with prompts provided via text and physical distance maintained between participants.
