Select the class that's right for your child's current grade. There is overlap in some of our classes to provide options for students with special writing interests. For example, if you have a teen (grades 9-12), you can select any of our Teen Writers Circles. But if they enjoy dabbling in scary stories, you might consider Horror and Dark Matters.
TWC's author-instructors are well-versed in working with each student at their own level and providing individual attention. If you're still not quite sure, please contact us for guidance.
Jump into the fun of creative writing. We use group interaction, imaginative prompts, drawing, and role-playing to teach all the basics of story creation and help kids put their wildest inspirations onto the page. In our fun, non-judgmental environment, kids gain confidence in their ideas and discover the magic of creative writing.

Kids learn how to get their ideas on paper, and then how to make their stories really work. This class bridges the playful ideas of Story Magic into a more mature environment where gentle, constructive critique and group discussion introduce and refine students' understanding of the elements and challenges of story-making. Students will build confidence and improve their writing in an open-minded, positive and often exuberant atmosphere. Kids will be encouraged, but not required, to write at home and bring their work to share with their peers.
